Scuba Diving and Island Hopping:There are 98 islands surrounding Langkawi that are all worth exploring. Pulau Singa Besar in particular is noted for its native wildlife and is being developed into a wildlife sanctuary. The surrounding waters have been declared a marine reserve, and are ideal for snorkelling and diving.
Local Cuisine: Try some of the traditional local dishes
including 'Nasi Ulam’, a delicious blend of spicy rice and
fresh vegetables and 'Laksa’ - rice noodles with a mix of fish gravy, cucumber, onion and shoots.
Diving at Tenggol Island: Tenggol Island is part of
the Terengganu Marine Park and is famous for its tropical jungle, white sandy beaches and untouched coral gardens with rare species of marine life. There are about 13 dive spots that offer unforgettable under water experiences for both the beginner and experienced divers. The island is reached in approx. 45 minutes by speedboat from the Tanjung Jara Resort. | |
