Day 1 - Geneva
On arrival you will be transferred by luxury coach to your centrally located 4 star hotel. Enjoy the afternoon free at leisure relax or explore your surroundings. This evening you will enjoy a
welcome dinner in the hotel.
Day 2: Geneva - Montreux-Zermatt.
After breakfast we will have a sightseeing tour of Geneva where we will see the beautiful parks along the lake, the old town with its cathedral, the unique town hall and the European seat of the United Nations. In the late morning we leave Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Montreux. We pass by Chillon Castle, the 13th century fortress made famous by Lord Byron's poem and proceed through the Valais - the valley of the river Rhone with its orchards and vineyards. At Täsch we will board a cogwheel train that takes us to the mountain resort of Zermatt at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in your 4 star hotel.
Day 3: Zermatt-Nufenen pass - Lugano
Breakfast at the hotel then afterwards we will have the morning at leisure in Zermatt for you to explore this beautiful town and do some shopping. You may wish to take the optional trip on the cogwheel train up to Gornergrat to enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. In the afternoon we will board the train to Täsch where a coach will be waiting to take us over the breathtaking Nufenen Pass into the garden city of Lugano, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Check-in to your 4 star hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 4: Lugano – Lake Como – Maloja Pass – St. Moritz
After breakfast at the hotel we leave Lugano and drive along the scenic road to Gandria where we cross the border into Italy. Travelling along the romantic shores of Lake Como via Menaggio to Chiavenna and into the lovely Breggaglia Valley. In Castasegna we re-enter Switzerland and start our ascent over the Maloja Pass, enjoying spectacular scenery along the way. Passing by crystal blue Lake Sils and Silvaplana we reach the world famous alpine resort of St. Moritz. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lovely 4 star hotel.
Day 5: St Moritz - Vaduz - Zurich
This morning, after breakfast, we leave St. Moritz and cross the spectacular Fluela Pass and through Davos. When we arrive in Vaduz, the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein, there will be time for lunch and sightseeing. The awesome castle of Vaduz overlooks the town and is the home of the Prince and his royal family. In the afternoon we will return to Zurich through the Toggenburg region with its picturesque farmhouses. Check-in to your 4 star hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 6: Zurich – Rapperswil – Boatride on Lake of Zürich
After breakfast our coach will pick us up for a sightseeing tour featuring the highlights of Zurich and its surroundings. We will travel along the Höhenstrasse that offers spectacular views into the Alps and drive to Rapperswil, known as “The town of the roses” where you will see the Rose Garden, featuring 15,000 plants of 600 different kinds which can only be viewed between June and October. We also see the castle and the deer park on the Lindenhof. This afternoon we will enjoy a relaxing scenic cruise on Lake Zurich. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7: Zurich
After breakfast we will depart for The Mulhouse Car Museum via the beautiful Capital of Basel. This fascinating museum contains the largest and most comprehensive collection of Bugatti motor vehicles in the world. On our return back to Zurich we will enjoy our final evening at leisure.
Day 8: Return to Dublin
After our breakfast we will depart our hotel to connect with our return flight to Dublin.
