Day 1 – Prague: Depart Dublin for your direct flight to Prague, where you will be met by your Joe Walsh Tours representative and transferred to the centrally located Prague Centre Hotel for the first three nights of your tour including daily breakfast.
Day 2- Prague: This morning enjoy a guided tour featuring the main sights of the city - Prague Castle and Hradcany, including St Vitus Cathedral and the quaint "Golden Lane", Kampa Island, known as the Venice of Prague, the Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge, and the Powder Gate and Old Town Square in the Old Town. This afternoon take time to explore the shops and squares of the Old Town and perhaps shop for some of Prague's famous crystal.
Day 3 – Prague: After breakfast you will enjoy free time to explore Prague at your leisure. Tonight you will enjoy a traditional folklore show including dinner.
Day 4 – Prague – Vienna: Depart this morning for Vienna where you will spend two nights in the centrally located Hotel Ananas including daily breakfast. After checking into your hotel this afternoon you will have the option of taking part in a ‘Vienna by night’ tour. This tour visits the Danube Tower where you will enjoy a glass of wine, then continue on to a Austrian restaurant for dinner before finishing the evening at the Giant Ferris Wheel at the Prater. Alternatively you have the option of spending the evening relaxing or exploring Vienna at your leisure.
Day 5 – Vienna: This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the city including the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna´s main boulevard, MAK, Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, State Opera House, Museum of Fine Arts and Natural History, Parliament, National Theatre, City Hall, University, Votive Church, Urania, Kunsthaus, Prater (with giant ferris wheel), City Park, Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace and Opera. This afternoon enjoy free time to further explore this romantic city at your ease.
Day 6 - Vienna – Budapest: Today you travel to the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary’s capital, where you will spend two nights in the Hotel Astoria on a bed and breakfast basis. Budapest is divided in two by the river Danube and you will explore the hilly side of Buda on the western bank and the flat plain of Pest on the eastern bank. Our afternoon guided tour will take us to Buda Castle - the Royal Palace, the Castle District, the Fishermen's Bastion and Matthias Church. We will also visit The Parliament, Heroes' Square and St. Stephens Cathedral. This evening you will enjoy a Danube River Cruise including dinner.
Day 7 - Budapest at leisure
Enjoy the city at your leisure today. Why not start in the centre with Vörösmarty Square and Váci Street, the main pedestrian street of downtown Budapest. Enjoy people watching in some of the most popular cafés of the capital and sample the delicious local cuisine.
Day 8 - Return home
Depart Budapest on your return flight to Dublin.
