Great Ocean Road - 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS from €349

 

DAY 01 - MELBOURNE – APOLLO BAY (183 kms)
Pick up your rental car and commence your drive to Apollo Bay, a scenic little fishing port, boasting some magnificent beaches. The town is an excellent base for exploring the superb rainforest of the Otway Ranges and Otway National Park.
Overnight: APOLLO BAY INTERNATIONAL
THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD - The entire Great Ocean Road is one of Australia's most spectacular drives and perhaps one of the world's most scenic. The road hugs the coastline for much of the route, revealing lovely coastal scenery, as well as the inland splendour of the Otway Ranges.

DAY 02 - APOLLO BAY – PORT FAIRY (190 kms)
Depart Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road to arrive at Port Fairy. This spectacular stretch of road takes in some of the Great Ocean Road’s most famous sights. View the Blow Hole, Mutton Bird Island and Elephant Rock. See also London Bridge, which was once a double arch but it collapsed in 1990, stranding sightseers. The Twelve Apostles is arguably the most spectacular landmark on the whole of the Victorian coastline and is certainly the most photographed.

DAY 03 - PORT FAIRY - ROBE (332 kms)
Depart Port Fairy and travel to Portland, Dartmoor, Mt. Gambier and Millicent en route to Robe. Visit the Tantanoola Caves Conservation Park en route.
Overnight: MELALEUCA MOTEL

DAY 04 - ROBE - VICTOR HARBOUR (350 kms)
Depart Robe and travel to Kingston, a seaside resort and fishing town and home to the "Big Lobster". Continue to Victor Harbour, a delightful coastal resort, and the largest of the resort towns on Horseshoe Bay. One of the best known landmarks on the south coast is Rosetta Bluff.  It is a natural rock formation, which dominates the skyline just west of the town.

DAY 05 - VICTOR HARBOUR - ADELAIDE (80 kms)
Depart Victor Harbour and travel to McLaren Vale, home to the famous Hardy and Seaview wineries. Dotted amongst the vineyards are orchards of olives, almonds, avocados, and fruit all of which grow well in this temperate region. Continue on to Hahndorf, a historic German village and the oldest German village still surviving in Australia. If time prevails travel to Mt. Lofty, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Adelaide, before arriving into Adelaide where you drop off your rental car.

Melbourne - Melbourne (Mornington Peninsula) - 4 DAYS / 3 nights from €286

 

Mornington Peninsula is arguably Melbourne's best kept secret. Some of the highlights of the area include art and craft markets, antique stores, coastal and bush walks, and koala and penguin reserves.The region has much of Victoria's earliest history, excellent golf courses, great restaurants and one of Australia's finest wine-producing regions with numerous vineyards just waiting to be explored including Dromana Estate and Main Ridge Estate.

DAY 1 - MELBOURNE - PORTSEA (101 kms)
Pick up your car rental either at the Melbourne Airport Depot or Melbourne City Depot and drive south via the bayside suburbs of Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula drive until you arrive at Portsea.
Overnight: PEPPERS DELGANY MORNINGTON.

SORRENTO / PORTSEA - Attractions in Sorrento include the Marine Aquarium on St Albans Way where visitors can see the seals being fed, or take a cruise on Port Phillip Bay and swim with dolphins and seals. Sorrento Beach, along the Nepean Highway, is ideal for swimming in the safe waters while the back beach with its tall imposing cliffs, large waves and strong currents, is favoured by surfers.

DAY 2 - PORTSEA - COWES (165 kms)
Depart Portsea and travel towards the township  of Cowes arriving in Phillip Island.
Overnight: THE CONTINENTAL PHILLIP ISLAND.

PHILLIP ISLAND is the home of the Fairy Penguins. At dusk, they emerge from the surf, completely ignoring the thousands of curious onlookers. The island has a major wildlife reserve where you can see koalas, fur seals, pelicans, mutton-birds and various other sea birds.

DAY 3 - PHILLIP ISLAND - YARRA GLEN
(167 kms) Depart Phillip Island via the Bass Highway to Koo-wee-rup where you continue to Pakenham, Gembrook and Launching Place arriving at Yarra Glen one of Australia's premier wine-producing areas,.
Overnight: COMFORT INN YARRA GLEN GRAND.

DAY 4 - YARRA GLEN - MELBOURNE (48 kms)
Leaving Yarra Glen today, return to Melbourne to set your vehicle down at either Melbourne city or the airport car rental depot.
